RESTAURANT
“The Mediterranean charm of this wonderful, 120-year-old house makes me feel like I’ve arrived home.”
The Anna Sgroi restaurant is located in the heart of Hamburg’s Pöseldorf district, close to the meadow areas on the western side of the Alster lake. The half-timbered building that houses the restaurant was built in 1897 and, having undergone painstaking renovation in 2013, is now part of a delightful architectural ensemble that adds a hint of the Mediterranean to the lively Milchstraße area.
Inside, the restaurant features a tasteful combination of antique and modern elements. Its dining area is divided into three sections: the ornately tiled central gallery, the adjoining veranda section overlooking the raised outdoor terrace, and the main dining room featuring the building’s original wooden beams. The restaurant offers à-la-carte seating for 50 people inside. Its outdoor terrace, situated under an old yew tree, can seat a further 30 guests. If the restaurant is booked for special occasions, we can arrange additional seating.
